COVID-19 Guidelines to take for Your Office

Here are some tips and guidelines to ensure your employees can return back to work safely.

Step up Cleaning and Disinfecting of Workplace Premises

Employers should ensure regular cleaning of common spaces, particularly areas with high human contact. Cleaning and disinfecting of tables, door knobs etc should be done regularly daily. Employers must also ensure that machinery and equipment shared between different employees across different shifts are cleaned and disinfected before changing hands. Mandatory Use of SafeEntry

It is mandatory to implement SafeEntry QR code for check in and check out when you enter and leave the office.

Use of TraceTogether App

Encourage your employees to download the TraceTogether App and keep it activated at all times with Bluetooth turned on. This will help faster contact tracing on a national level.

Identity Documents

Ensure that your staff bring along their NRIC or work pass (Employment Pass, S Pass or Work Permit) to facilitate checks by relevant Government authorities as and when they conduct them.

Strict Adherence to Safe Distancing Measures

For employees who are working in the offices or branches, ensure that they are:

– Going alone to buy lunch and not in groups. Maintaining social distancing when queuing and waiting for your food.

– Minimise socialising at the workplace, including during breaks or meals.

– Where physical interaction cannot be avoided, precautions should be taken to ensure clear physical spacing of at least 1 metre between persons at all times.

Donning of Face Masks

It is compulsory for your staff to wear a mask at all times at the work premises, even when they are alone, on the phone or there is no person near them.

Good Personal Hygiene

Put up personal hygiene reminders and make sure your employees observe these practices at all times, by washing hands with soap regularly or using alcohol-based hand sanitisers.  This is especially important after touching common surfaces like door handles, lift buttons, printers/scanners etc.

Daily Health Status Declarations

As part of daily health status declarations, your employees will need to inform ytheir immediate supervisor if they:

– have been issued a medical certificate (if you have respiratory symptoms, please highlight)

– received a quarantine or isolation order, or stay-home notice, or

– a close contact of confirmed cases.
