What is included in basic elderly care services?

Basic elderly care services typically include assistance with ADLs, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and transferring. These services are designed to help elderly individuals maintain their independence and dignity. Besides, caregivers are able to assist with medication (as prescribed by a medical professional), take part in mind-stimulating activities, provide companionship & assist on simple maintenance exercises.

Caregivers offer services at the client’s home, allowing them to stay in a familiar environment. This can be a more comfortable and less disruptive option than moving to a care facility.

Caregivers who provide personal care services have relevant training and experience in providing assistance with ADLs. Besides, they have complete certifications or training programs related to elderly care under training providers specified by MOM. They have completed the elderly care minding services course shared by MOM and trained by experienced nurses from caregiver service before being deployed to assist the client.
All caregivers undergo required training on proper lifting and transferring techniques, and should be equipped with assistive devices such as grab bars or shower chairs to reduce the risk of falls or other injuries. Besides, caregivers were trained to be alert and make sure there is no safety concern around the area.
Providers may charge an hourly rate or a flat fee and no other additional charges will apply. It’s important to ask about pricing and payment options upfront to avoid surprises later on.
Providers should have policies in place for making changes to the care plan. Clients or their families should be able to communicate their needs and preferences to the provider, and providers would be flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances given that it is under the covered job scope within the locus of control of the trained caregiver. Any changes on the requirements and job scope must be informed ahead of time and agreed between both client and company to align before implementing.
It’s important to ask about cancellation and rescheduling policies upfront to avoid any confusion later on. The client must inform no less than 48 hours before the session starts for any changes and cancellation of the scheduled session.
We understand and will reschedule the session given that if the client has a valid reason/ proof to show that there is an emergency and needs to cancel on a last minute arrangement.
Our workers are tailored to specific clients to take care of them and highly committed to the particular profile of the clients, for every last minute cancellation would affect their schedule. If the session is canceled in less than 48 hours or without a notice from the client. There will be a charge of 50% for that particular visit.
There will be a charge of flat rate per every additional hour based on the engaged package from the client. However, the client would need to drop us an email/ call/ message if there are any additional hours to add on. However, the revision of the package can refer to item 5.
